OUR GIRL was announced just over seven months ago and as Lacey Turner in the lead role, we were very excited for the release. It is a compelling story of eighteen-year-old Molly Dawes who has no clue where her life is leading to, after vomiting outside the recruitment office on the night of her birthday, she finds herself attracted to it. The very next day she becomes swept into a whole new world, leading her to becoming a part of Phase One of army training.
TONY GROUNDS, the writer, was responsible for the flawless drama, it made us laugh, it made us cry. The character Molly Dawes was wholly realistic and for this, Lacey Turner is responsible. Lacey Turner challenges every role she receives and she has by far outdone herself in her latest role as Molly. Molly is a girl who you cannot help but love and Lacey has told us that she is 'proud' of her character. Molly is transformed into a mature young woman and throughout she faces challenges that she overcomes. Lacey Turner has become more than an 'EastEnders' star, she has finally made it to the next level where she's portraying much more serious roles to the best of her ability.
OUR GIRL was heart warming, captivating and the finest of BBC drama and it has been marked as 'inspring' by many of our Twitter followers:
